Outgoing NFDC CEO Howard Button has granted an interview to industry magazine, Construction News.
In the interview, he talks about a possible retraction of the UK demolition industry and about the fact that 10 NFDC members were fined almost £60 million for their part in a bid-rigging, price-fixing and collusion scandal.
However, also says that the NFDC “can’t control what our members do outside of health and safety.”
The article was published two days after a company was awarded £1.0 million over the death of a worker on the site of an NFDC member.
The article was published one day before another fatality was reported on the site of another NFDC member company.
