“The demolition industry has lost one of its true stars”. That was a comment from one of the closest industry friends of Bradley Demolition’s Paul Johnson who sadly passed away this weekend.
Johnson was the founder of Bradley Demolition and had been the chairman of the North West region of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors prior to his shock resignation earlier this year.
He was also an extremely vocal advocate for all things environmental. In fact, I spoke to him at length about the need for carbon reduction – there was no such thing as a quick phone conversation with Paul – just a month or two ago.
In my opinion, Paul Johnson was the thinking man’s demolition man. His environmental advocacy came not from a desire to appease clients or legislators. He had immersed himself fully in the subject and was as informed as he was passionate.
The thoughts of everyone at DemolitionNews are with Paul’s family, friends and colleagues at this extremely sad time.
