There is every likelihood that we’re late to this particular party. But word reached us this morning that Bradford-based Gill Demolitions has entered voluntary liquidation.
According to an entry on Companies House, Gaines Robson Insolvency was appointed as insolvency practitioner back in January of this year; so quite why this news is reaching us now is something of a mystery.
Having retraced our steps, the liquidation probably shouldn’t come as a surprise.
The company’s founder Brian Gilled passed away in 2016. In 2019, the company hosted a retirement auction to sell off at least some of its equipment.
The Gill Demolitions website is now inaccessible but, according t our records, the company was established in 1954 and went on to become one of the leading demolition contractors in Yorkshire. The company became a member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors in 1963.
