If you were watching yesterday’s Break Fast Show, you will know that we brought you the news of a scaffold collapse on a site in the heart of London.
Well now, we van bring you a video that shows the immediate aftermath of that collapse (below).
Although we have yet to receive official confirmation, the Construction Enquirer news portal is reporting today that the incident took place on an Erith site on Leadenhall Street in the heart of the City’s financial district. There are no reports of any injuries.
This latest scaffold collapse will bring back memories of the spate of scaffold collapses that occurred in the Summer of 2019; each of them involving a member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors that subsequently issued guidance on the use of scaffolding in a demolition application.
