Injured demolition worker on the road to recovery.
Regular readers will recall that at the end of July last year, we reported on an incident in which a young female demolition operative was seriously injured on a site in Essex.
There was an outpouring of sympathy and support across the industry as young Shannon Brasier fought for her life.
But this morning, DemolitionNews received the message from the young lady in question. And the news is extremely positive:
“My recovery is going well and I’m the right direction. I just want to get back to work and back on a demolition site. I hope you’re well. Thank you for asking about me.,” she says.
Shannon also expressed her gratitude to all those that supported the Dig Deep for Shannon campaign to raise money for her family while she was in hospital.
“I just want to say thank you so much for helping with the fund raising. There’s no words on this Earth that can thank you enough for your help. It means the world to me.”
The fact that this young lady is on her way to recovery provides some very welcome positive news; the fact that she’s planning to return to work within the demolition sector merely proves that she is made of the same stuff as the industry itself.
