Implosion removes yet more of the Old Bay Bridge.
Engineers are taking out some of the last remnants of the original San Francisco Bay Bridge.
They conducted the first implosion Saturday, to remove 13-remaining piers of the east span of the structure.
The original 1936 bridge has been replaced with one that’s earthquake safe.
