Demolition contractors aids emergency services after explosion.
On Tuesday 14 February, an as-yet-unexplained explosion ripped trough a three-storey residential block at Osney Mill in Oxford.
Emergency services quickly determined that a local man – Guido Schuette – had likely perished in the blast that levelled the block in which he lived, and which damaged similar blocks on either side.
Demolition crews from Maylarch were summoned to check the condition of the two neighbouring blocks before recovery works could begin in earnest. Today (Sunday) police confirmed that human remains had been discovered on the site.
Demolition TV will be covering this story in greater depth in the next episode. But for now we have compiled this brief film.
