Implosion fells 60-year old steam station.
After more than 60 years in service, Duke Energy’s Dan River Steam Station in Eden is now just a pile of rubble.
The company imploded the powerhouse and three boilers on Sunday morning.
Duke Energy is scheduled to conduct a second implosion to take down the precipitator later this week:
