With Americans belatedly catching the football bug and embracing “soccer” like never before, Los Angeles is making ready for the construction of a new permanent home for Major League Soccer team Los Angeles FC.
Costing $250 million, the 22,000-seat Banc of California stadium will be built on the site of the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, former home of the LA Lakers and LA Clippers basketball teams which is currently being demolished.
