Family of John Shaw informed as final body is recovered.
Thames Valley Police believes it has located the last missing man from Didcot power station today.
The family of John Shaw, who is still missing at the site, has been informed as have the families of the other men who had been missing and all are being supported by specially trained Thames Valley Police officers.
The contractors have paused the removal of debris so that specialists from Thames Valley Police, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and the South Central Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), can enter the site.
The safe recovery of the body will take place and the Disaster Victim Identification process will commence.
The person has not yet been formally identified and this will be a matter for the coroner, although it is believed to be John Shaw.
He is the last of the four men to be located following the collapse of the boiler house at the Power Station in February this year.
