Controlled blast fells Plympton’s Merafield Bridge.
On a weekend in which postponements were the order of the day in the UK’s explosive demolition sector, Gilpin Demolition managed to evade delays, carrying out the controlled implosion of the Merafield Bridge in Plympton during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The demolition marks the final stage of a £6.3 million maintenance project on the A38.
