More than three weeks after the tragic collapse, Coleman and Company get recovery green light.
After several weeks of planning, Coleman and Company has finally been given the go-ahead to begin recovery operations at the Didcot A power station site where four men were tragically killed in a boiler house collapse on 23 February.
According to a statement on the Coleman and Company Facebook page, “We have been working relentlessly with RWE and independent experts to ensure the recovery operation can begin safely and are relieved that we are now in a position where work can get underway this weekend.
Our over-riding priority remains to support the families of those who have died or are still tragically missing, and the start of the recovery operation is an important milestone in a process to re-unite our missing colleagues with their families.”
There is still time to support the families of the men killed in this tragic accident. There are still a few copies of the A Site for Sore Eyes book available, with all profits going to help the families. Alternatively, we are very close to hitting our target on the dedicated JustGiving page.
