Saskatoon bridge blasted into frozen river.
A more than century-old Saskatoon landmark has finished with a bang.
Half of the Traffic Bridge was demolished by an impressive 16 directional explosive charges at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday.
The debris field was expected to cover about 10 metres around the blast site, according to officials with the demolition company. As a precaution, a 250-metre radius zone was blocked off surrounding the bridge.
