Your chance to win more portable computer memory than you can shake a USB stick at.
There was a time when equipment manufacturers would lavish gifts upon journalists. My personal collection of baseball caps, t-shirts and jackets meant that I rarely had to go shopping (good) but that I also looked like a walking advertisement for a used equipment dealership (not so good).
Today, however, those same manufacturers are far more likely to hand us poor, beleaguered hacks a USB thumb drive containing photos, videos, brochures etc.
Over the past few months, I have been collecting these together and I now have an impressive collection of thumb drives from, variously, JCB, Kubota, Hitachi, Rammer, Rubble Master and
Furukawa. In addition, I have a few – from the likes of Volvo and Northerntrack – that are shaped like an item of equipment.
And, as part of our end-of-year desk clearance, they are all up for grabs.
