Please give generously to remember one of the industry’s good guys.
If there was any justice in the world, Richard Comley would now be basking in the afterglow of his National Demolition Training Group chairmanship and, just as likely, be bracing himself for a run at the Institute of Demolition Engineers’ presidency.
However, the unforgiving and arbitrary bastard that is cancer robbed Comley of that opportunity; robbed his wife and children of a loving husband and father; and robbed the industry of one of its most generous souls.
To mark his passing, a team of runners from the Comley Group are taking on the challenge of the 10 mile Great South Run next month. Michael Wells, Clifford Pitman, Billy Rogers, Mark Watkins, Carl Warner, Kamila Dziedzic, Jen Atkinson and Richard’s son and current MD, Toby Comley will all be pounding the pavements of Portsmouth on 25th October.
DemolitionNews and Demolition magazine (together with a number of Richard’s friends from the industry) have already supported this cause but we want to do more.
