A big weekend for big blasts as New Jersey fells three tower blocks.
Some old buildings in Jersey City became history Saturday morning in order to pave the way for new housing.
Three six-story buildings were imploded next to the former Jersey City Medical Center to make way for the new Montgomery Gardens apartment buildings.
The $44 million redevelopment will include low-rise, four-story buildings. Ninety percent of the 126 units will be affordable housing.
