Buffalo hospital could fall.
The planned development of the Trico site on the edge of Buffalo’s medical campus, has the developer looking to demolish the oldest structure of the complex. Originally built as an ice house to service local breweries, the structure has deteriorated.
Removal of the ice house clears the way for a courtyard, where people will enter of each of the newly renovated buildings.
Developers of the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital site will go before the Buffalo City Planning Board next week for permission to demolish the main hospital building and some smaller structures. After the small buildings are removed, the plan is to implode the main hospital structure.
