Gilpin Demolition has demolished a 150-year old bridge allowing main contractor Osborne to replace it during a 76 hour possession of the railway.
Millsden Lane/Down Farm Lane railway underbridge is located between Micheldever and Winchester Stations in Headbourne Worthy.
The new design removes the brick arch structure which had a 10’ foot height restriction, replacing it with a precast concrete portal that is square in shape and features arching detail.
