Worker partially buried by wall collapse.
A man has been badly injured on a demolition site in Huddersfield, according to local newspaper reports.
The worker is thought to have been partially buried when a wall collapsed at the former Deighton Centre.
The man was one of a number of contractors who have been carrying out demolition work on the site.
Other workers rushed to help him and two ambulances were called to the scene yesterday afternoon.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We got a call to Deighton Road about 2.15 pm to reports of a man injured by rubble.
“A rapid response car and an ambulance were sent to the site and a man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary”.
The man’s injuries are not thought top be life-threatening.
