In what must qualify as some of the worst demolition mismanagement it has ever been our job to report, a Kenyan excavator operator has narrowly escaped with his life after a Nairobi building collapsed on the JCB machine that we was operating.
According to local news reports, the operator had twice told officials that the building was unstable and potentially dangerous but was “encouraged” back to work regardless of the hazards.
