Plant hirer focuses fleet on Atlas Copco breakers.
Flannery Plant Hire, one of the oldest and largest plant hire firms in the UK, has purchased more than 100 Atlas Copco hydraulic breakers in a deal worth over £1 million. The deal includes Solid Body small breakers to suit carriers from 1.1 to 8 tonnes. and versatile medium breakers to suit carriers from 10 to 26 tonnes. The breakers will be used in a variety of Flannery’s projects including Rail, Highways, Utilities, National Grid, Cross Rail, Civils and Environment Agency works.
Flannery Plant Hire was established in 1972 and now has over 1600 machines operating from two main hubs in Wembley and Manchester and prides itself on providing equipment with extras as standard to exceed the expectations of their clients. The Atlas Copco range of breakers are seen as some of the hardest-hitting on the market featuring a market leading power to weight ratio. Less hydraulic input power is required from the carrier whilst maintaining impact performance. Low vibration and noise levels combined with effective dust protection help to prevent damage to the breaker and carrier helping to increase reliability.
Patrick Flannery, Director of Flannery Plant Hire, said the investment in Atlas Copco was to ensure the quality and reliability of its fleet. “It is very important that there is no down time as it leads to greater customer satisfaction. You can have the best machine in the world, however if the breaker is not up to scratch it lets the machine down.” Patrick goes on to say that he expects the high quality and proven Atlas Copco breakers to keep downtime to a minimum.
Nick Anwyl, Regional Sales Manager at Atlas Copco, comments that, “Flannery are a major player in the plant hire industry. For them to choose Atlas Copco is a great commendation of a robust and reliable product that has proved it can stand up to the rigours of the UK plant hire industry.”
