Stockholm set for Swedish show.
The Scandinavian trade show DEMCON – said to be the world’s largest dedicated trade show for demolition – will be held on the 4-5 September.
This year will be the third edition of the DEMCON demolition show held at InfraCity in the suburb of Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm. During two days professional manufacturers and contractors will come together within the sectors of demolition, concrete cutting, concrete floor grinding and polishing, handling of dust and slurry, hydrodemolition, recycling and waste handling.
The organiser will use this year’s show to continue the focus on the demolition and scrap recycling industries. Over 5,000 invitations will be sent to scrap yards, recycling centres and demolition and remediation contractors. The important customer group of concrete sawing and drilling contractors, contractors working with remotely controlled robots and concrete floor grinding and polishing will also feature predominantly as they did at the previous DEMCON in 2012. Scandinavian contractors in concrete cutting and demolition robotics are the most strongly represented group of visitor at the show. The organiser believes that this visitor group will continue to increase in numbers this year.
“I think the industry is again looking forward to converge on DEMCON in September, the trade fair for real demolition professionals. The majority of industry players will be there and we think we can guarantee that the quality of visitors will, as always, be very high,” concludes organiser Jan Hermansson. “It is particularly pleasing that the show received increased international status among both visitors and exhibitors.”
