Blast fells structurally unstable bridge.
It was out with the old and soon enough it will be in with the new.
After standing strong for 55 years, Cleveland’s old Innerbelt Bridge came down this morning. Hundreds of explosive charges were put in place to bring down five of the remaining nine spans of the bridge.
ODOT says the remaining concrete piers will be demolished this summer using traditional methods.
