No children present when column collapsed.
A demolition worker was injured Wednesday when a column collapsed at Las Colinas Elementary School in Irving, Texas.
Officials said it happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday while crews were demolishing a building at the school in the 2200 block of Kinwest Parkway.
Police tell NBC 5 a construction worker was injured in the collapse and has been transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
There are no reports of any other injuries at this time.
