Another demolition worker injured.
An excavator operator was injured Thursday when part of an Amesbury home that was being torn down collapsed on him, police said.
Amesbury police say the excavator operator was hurt when part of a chimney fell on him and his equipment.
“The chimney and building debris crashed through the operator’s cab causing injuries which required medical attention,” police said in a statement.
The operator was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries. Police did not release his condition.
