The fall of an oxygen furnace.
Regular readers whose diaries have not been thrown out of kilter by the Easter shenanigans may recall that back in October we featured the explosive demolition of a bucket wheel excavator at Sparrow’s Point.
Well thanks to our second favourite demolition videographer in the world (sorry, but we have a vested interest in our first favourite) we can check out the latest implosion to take place at the Maryland site.
Our old buddy Stephen SetteDucati has just sent us this superb footage that captures the explosive demolition of the facility’s oxygen furnace. The implosion was carried out by Controlled Demolition Inc (CDI):
