Company Wrench appointed North American dealer for Kocurek conversions.
With demand for high reach excavators now growing in the traditionally conservative US demolition market, UK-based Kocurek Excavators Ltd has taken the bold decision to appoint attachment specialist Company Wrench as its North American representative.
Kocurek general manager Brian Carroll reports that the deal has been months in the making but was sealed during the recent ConExpo exhibition in Las Vegas.
Despite being the recognised leader in the modification of excavators to both high and long reach formats, Kocurek has never enjoyed any real presence in the US. But this is set to change, according to Carroll.
“The timing of this agreement is perfect,” he says. “The US has been very slow to adopt high reach demolition equipment that is standard equipment here in Europe. But having been pioneered by a few forward-thinking contractors, the concept is really starting to gain momentum in the US. And with its long history of supplying the US demolition sector, Company Wrench is ideally placed to take maximum advantage of that market potential.”
Carroll reports that the equipment will be jointly badged Kocurek-Company Wrench and that Company Wrench will be responsible for installing front-end equipment manufactured at Kocurek’s Ipswich headquarters. Company Wrench will also be responsible for after sales support in its territory, with Kocurek providing the requisite training on both sides of the Atlantic.
In addition to its sales activity, Company Wrench is also expected to add high reach demolition spec machines to its rental fleet as part of the deal.
