We have seen the future; and it’s half man/half machine.
Regular readers of the Demolition magazine will recall that in the “Design for Deconstruction” supplement to our mighty Yellow Peril edition, Dr Terry Quarmby foretold of a future demolition landscape in which certain tasks would be undertaken by men inside robotic suits.
It was tempting to dismiss such a notion as science fiction. But check out this video from Japanese enterprise Skeletronics and you will see that Quarmby’s dream of the future might, in fact, be within touching distance.
