Contractor clarifies position following departure of Greg Lannon.
Hughes and Salvidge has sought to quell the rumours surrounding the future of its Northern Office following the departure of former Operations Director Greg Lannon just a few weeks ago. Lannon has since joined KDC Contractors but speculation on the future of Hughes and Salvidge’s Northern Office has continued, forcing the company to issue the following statement:
Hughes and Salvidge would like to clarify rumours following the recent restructure of our Northern Office in West Yorkshire. In January, following a company review, we decided to restructure the Northern Office which unfortunately meant we made our Operations Director redundant.
Despite the speculations surrounding this, Hughes and Salvidge’s Shareholders and Directors have no intention of ceasing operations in the North of England as a result of losing one member of the team.
Hughes and Salvidge currently have a number of projects in progress in the North and continue to tender for new business in this area. We want to reassure existing clients that we have the resources in place to manage and execute projects to the same high standard that we always have.
Our Director Ian Martin is now responsible for overall operations throughout the UK and manages a team of highly experienced Contracts Mangers and Site Managers who are based throughout the country. Currently Mike Dean and Matt Burke are contract managing projects secured by our Northern Team, with the full support and backing of Ian, Martyn Burnett (Managing Director) and Tony Jack (Group SHEQ Manager).
This month see’s Hughes and Salvidge celebrate 50 years of offering demolition and decommissioning services. Our success over these years has resulted from us adapting to respond to the changing marking and the demands of the industry. The recent changes that have occurred, whilst unfortunate, were necessary.
