Fort Lauderdale hotel tripped with spectacular results.
The felling of the Howard Johnson Hotel had been earmarked as an explosive demolition project. But at the eleventh hour, there was a switch to mechanical methods.
As it transpired, the switch made very little difference to the outcome as the structure came down in seconds.
