Planning minister must prove all clear or demolition will stop.
Australian planning minister Brad Hazzard is facing a last-minute challenge to this Thursday’s planned Port Kembla stack blast as local residents raise fears over the presence of asbestos.
With the planned blast less than 48 hours away, Hazzard has been challenged to produce a hazardous waste plan, asbestos removal plan, hazardous materials removal plan and asbestos clearance certificate. Failure to do so could result in the planned implosion being stopped.
