Olympia demolition firm’s practices safe despite roof collapse.
The Health and Safety Executive has declared itself “satisfied” with safety processes at the Olympia demolition site, after a roof collapsed on to an excavatorr and its driver, who was unharmed.
A spokesperson said: “The incident at Olympia Swimming Pool was not reportable under RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations).
“However, HSE visited the site and looked at their systems of work and are satisfied that the company has suitable safety processes in place.”
The work at the site was being carried out by Central Demolition.
