Regular readers may recall that, back in November, we brought you some raw footage of the implosion of a viaduct in Rio de Janeiro as part of the preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games.
Well now, the company behind the blast – our old friend Fabio Bruno Construcoes Ltda – has released an epic new film from behind the scenes of this mammoth blast.
Although the film is in Portuguese, the pictures speak for themselves. And, best of all, the film illustrates the skill with which the company didn’t blow up the viaduct but used explosives to simply drop it down a level in a controlled and pre-determined manner.
