In an ideal world, demolition would take place behind closed doors, far from the madding (and often maddening) crowd. The public would be safer, and on the rare occasions when things do go awry, industry mistakes wouldn’t be plastered all over YouTube before the dust had even settled.
We don’t live in an ideal world; but it is far more ideal here than in Kinshasa. As this video shows, a Congo exclusion zone either does not exist or is measured in millimetres rather than metres.
