Was this a narrow escape for the operator?
We have just been sent this video by a contact in the US. According to the video details, the operator walked away unharmed after this catastrophic collapse, and we sincerely hope that is the case. The only remaining question is how?
The incident took place at the old Dayton Daily News building in downtown Dayton, Ohio. According to onlookers, the man operating an excavator was pulling a ten foot horizontal beam when the building started to lean, then collapsed on the excavator and the operator.
