Arrest in murder at Philadelphia demolition site; video game theft scheme blamed.
Police say they have made an arrest in the murder of a man whose body was found at a demolition site in Philadelphia, adding that a scheme to steal and sell video game consoles played a role in the killing.
Officers served a search warrant in the 1800 block of Tomlinson Street on Wednesday morning and arrested a 19-year-old. The name of that suspect has not been released.
The body of the victim, 19-year-old Daquan Crump, was found on the morning of 19 August 19 by a worker in the Somerton section of the city.
Investigators said Crump had been shot 10 times – once in the back of the head and nine times in the face.
According to police, Crump and the suspect were friends, and together they conspired to steal another friend’s Xbox and PlayStation video game consoles.
