It might have looked like one of the aliens from the lamentable 2005 War of the Worlds remake movie, the this Tennessee water tower was no match for the might of Controlled Demolition Inc. (CDI).
Acting as implosion subcontractor to demolition contractor, Veterans Contracting Solutions Group (VCSG), LLC of Knoxville, Tennessee, CDI performed the successful explosives felling of the 111 metre tall, structural steel water tower located in the East Tennessee Technology Park (formerly the Oak Ridge K-25 Site) at the Department of Energy Reservation in Oak Ridge.
