Crews and residents prepare for Saturday’s big bang.
We’re just days away from the much-anticipated implosion of the Gage Towers. The old dorm comes tumbling down Saturday morning.
The Gage towers have been a landmark in Mankato for the past 47 years. Over 50,000 alumni, along staff and the Minnesota Vikings have walked through the halls. Many have been stopping by to take pictures before the structures vanish into rubble.
There will be 300 pounds worth of explosives placed on the 1st, 3rd and 8th floor.
