Video Walk Around of a high reach that might be a new engine shy of popularity.
Let’s be honest – JCB is not the name on the tip of every demolition contractor’s tongue. Sure, they make a good telehandler and a great backhoe loader. And sure, their skid steer loaders have made remarkable inroads into market previously dominated by the almost ubiquitous Bobcat. But when it comes to high reach excavators, it seems that the likes of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr and Volvo have always had the edge.
But our friends at Diggers and Dozers got a sneak preview of the latest incarnation of the JCB JS360XD high reach. And judging by the resulting video, JCB appears to have addresssed many of the concerns of the discerning demolition public.
The latest machine looks beefier, has a good deal more protection, and comes fully equipped for demolition duties. And when the new six-cylinder Dieselmax engine comes on stream for Tier 4 regions of the world, the JS360XD will be among the cleanest running options in the demolition excavator field.
