As we have stated countless times before, the Chinese demolition business operates in a bubble all its own with practices and procedures not seen anywhere else in the world.
So this latest photo story from country will surprise virtually no-one.
Workers were scheduled to demolish a car park as part of a road widening scheme in Taiyuan but there was a problem. A single car remained unclaimed within the car park.
After waiting 10 days for the owner to claim the vehicle, Chinese crews took the unique decision to proceed with the demolition while leaving the car in place.
In fairness to the demolition workers, they clearly did a fine job of protecting the car which appears not only unscathed but remarkably clean amidst the surrounding devastation.
