Broward Courthouse garage collapses while being demolished.
A 4-storey parking garage, which workers had begun to demolish, unexpected collapsed. This morning, four floors of the structure were mostly intact, with only a few bays demolished. This afternoon, all four floors were laying pancaked on the ground.
One security worker, guarding the perimeter of the site, was slightly injured. The adult male was transported with basic life support to Broward Health. There were no demolition workers inside the structure at the time of the collapse.
The site is being demolished to make way for the construction of the new Broward County Courthouse.
