Excavator pictured in rubble as car park collapses during demolition.
A large section of a carpark undergoing demolition along Singapore’s Shenton Way collapsed, spilling debris onto a nearby road.
The carpark located at 5 Shenton Way, opposite the DBS building, was being demolished when it collapsed.
One eyewitness said there was a loud booming sound, and that the ground shook. Photos contributed to the citizen journalism site also showed an excavator among the wreckage.
The driver of the excavator was questioned by police before being led away.
