In previous months when we have reported on the ongoing demolition of the former Sappi paper mill at Muskegon, the focus has been on the use of controversial “tripping” methods to bring down the numerous structures on the site. But with many of the larger structures now down, the real grunt work is underway.
And in this Mlive video, Ken Callow, project engineer with contractor Melching Inc and a former employee at the Sappi mill, takes a look behind the scenes at the systems and procedures used to complete the lengthy demolition process.
