“Pillar of the wrecking community” dies aged 88.
William A. Geppert Jr., 88, a decorated World War II veteran and former chairman of the board of Geppert Bros., a demolition firm in Colmar, died Friday, June 29, of cancer at his daughter’s home in Wyndmoor.
Geppert Bros.’ major projects included Connie Mack Stadium, Philadelphia State Hospital at Byberry, Philadelphia Naval Hospital, and the Spectrum.
