Blast drops another part of Dallas power plant.
The next stage of demolition for the decommissioned North Lake power plant near the corner of LBJ and Belt Line Road finished yesterday morning. And unlike the previous blast back in April, local residents were not shocked this time around.
Neighbors said the first implosion, which occurred on April 14, came without warning –– some thought a bomb went off. This time, the city put notices on the doors of nearby homes in an effort to notify residents of the second implosion.
The third and final portion of the implosion will come in August.
