University of Alabama buildings to go out in 4th July blaze of glory.
The University of Alabama’s Rose Towers will be demolished July 4 to make way for a new residence hall to be built near the same site.
The building will be imploded at approximately 8:00am CT.
Rose Towers, the 13-story dorm on the north edge of the University of Alabama campus, is set to be demolished on July 4, UA spokeswoman Cathy Andreen said.
More details on the demolition will be released at a later date.
The 750-bed residence hall was built in 1969 and demolition was approved in 2011. In its place, the University will construct the second phase of the North Bluff Residential Community.
