“We’re going to need a bigger attachment…”
Here at Demolition News Towers, we have grown used to (tired of) receiving press releases from attachments manufacturers claiming their products “make light work” or concrete or “cut steel like a knife through butter” when we know full well just how hard both these common materials really are.
But, judging by this video, no-one from NPK is going to be making similar claims for its SV-65 ZR pulveriser any time soon. In what must surely be a contender for the “longest demolition video in which nothing very much happens” awards category, the attachment – slung from a Hitachi ZX 670-3 – makes remarkably little impression on the concrete bridge section. Indeed, the fact that traffic continues to flow across the bridge while work continues merely underlines the apparent futility of the exercise.
