Joplin School Board terminates contract for demolition of high school.
It has been a sorry tale of delays, claims and counter-claims. But the contractor charged with the demolition of three tornado-damaged schools has finally been given its marching orders while a lawsuit contesting $500,00 of scrap that apparently went AWOL continues.
Local news reports say that Georgia-based Urban Metropolitan Developments has had its contract terminated by the Joplin School Board and that the contract will now go out to tender in a revised format.
