For almost two years now, we have been reporting on the demolition of the K-25 uranium enrichment facility in Oak Ridge, a structure often referred to as the “world’s biggest building”.
In that time, we have reported on delays and escalating demolition and clean-up costs – $1.2 billion was the latest estimate – but we have never really got a good look behind the scenes.
Until now.
A new video sheds a little light on what is going on behind the security fences and does give some sense of the structure’s sheer scale.
