Erosion-hit Norfolk homes to be demolished.
Nine houses on the north Norfolk coast that are close to falling into the sea are set to be demolished. The homes on Beach Road at Happisburgh will be destroyed after residents accepted compensation from North Norfolk District Council to move.
The demolition means just three homes will be left on the erosion-hit road, with one permanently occupied. The council has also arranged for the nearby redundant RNLI and coastguard buildings to be knocked down.
The demolition, which starts on Today, is expected to take three months.
